The United Kingdom is among the European countries worst hit by COVID-19. As the coronavirus pandemic is spreading across the country, the government is seeking ways to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The number of confirmed UK cases has hit 1,6M. However, the count of estimated cases has risen to 5M, which is much higher. The total number of people who have died from COVID-19 across Britain now stands at 57K. England is currently the country's coronavirus hotspot with 1,3M confirmed cases. The most affected regions of the UK are North West and Yorkshire and the Humber.
