On 30 January, India reported its first case of COVID-19 in Kerala. Maharashtra is now the worst-hit state with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases - 2179185. In this state, the death toll due to the highly contagious disease has reached 52280 since the outbreak as 52280 deaths got reported since yesterday.

It is considered that in next week the overall number of coronavirus patients in Maharashtra will rise up to 2,2M cases.

The statistics also show the infection rate per 100,000 people - it’s 1,9K that is rather high. Even if you think that the figures are not so tremendously high, do not forget about protective measures and be aware of the coronavirus symptoms.
