On 30 January, India reported its first case of COVID-19 in Kerala. Maharashtra is now the worst-affected state with the most number of confirmed coronavirus cases - 1167496. In this state, the death toll due to the highly contagious disease has reached 31791 since the outbreak as 31791 deaths got reported since yesterday.

It is considered that a week later the total number of confirmed cases in Maharashtra will rise up to 1,2M cases.

The statistics also display the infection rate per 100,000 people - it’s 1K that is rather high. Even if you think that the figures are not so tremendously high, do not forget about protective measures and be aware of the coronavirus symptoms.
