Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in India, the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total number of coronavirus patients has reached 1,9K today, East Garo Hills still has the lowest count of cases and fatal cases in the state of Meghalaya.
East Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 41K and 9K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while South Garo Hills and North Garo Hills have the lowest count of COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya. Together with the latter ones, East Garo Hills’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your county has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
