The counties in the Hawaii state with the highest number of COVID-19 cases

Region Confirmed cases Deaths Cases/100k pop.
Honolulu County 264 197 1 355 27 717
Maui County 45 510 185 27 184
Hawaii County 42 594 237 21 137

Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 116 people per mi2 (45 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 19K today, Kauai County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Hawaii.

Honolulu County and Maui County are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 264K and 46K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hawaii County and Maui County have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Hawaii. Together with the latter ones, Kauai County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of COVID-19 cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
