Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 0 people per mi2 (0 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of coronavirus patients has increased up to 380 today, McCone County still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Montana.
Yellowstone County and Gallatin County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 41K and 33K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Petroleum County and Treasure County have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Montana. Together with the latter ones, McCone County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
