Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 0 people per mi2 (0 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total count of confirmed cases has increased up to 154 today, McCone County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Montana.
Yellowstone County and Gallatin County are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 15K and 11K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Petroleum County and Golden Valley County have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Montana. Together with the latter ones, McCone County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
