The population density in the county is 257 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of COVID-19 positive people has increased up to 11K today, Sawai Madhopur still has the lowest number of cases and deaths in the state of Rajasthan.
Jaipur and Jodhpur are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 188K and 112K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Pratapgarh and Karauli have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan. Together with the latter ones, Sawai Madhopur’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
