On 30 January, India reported its first case of COVID-19 in Kerala. Maharashtra is now the worst-hit state with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases - 200064. In this state, the death toll due to the highly contagious disease has reached 8671 since the outbreak as 8671 deaths got reported since yesterday.

Rajasthan is one of the states with the highest rates, as of today, it is reported to have 20K positive cases, 16K people have recovered. It is considered that in next week the overall number of confirmed cases in Rajasthan will rise up to 23K cases.

The statistics also show the infection rate per 100,000 people - it’s 28 that is quite high. Even if you think that the figures are not so tremendously high, remember about protective measures and be aware of the coronavirus symptoms.
