Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in India, the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the overall number of COVID-19 cases has reached 1,7K today, Senapati still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Manipur.
Imphal West and Imphal East are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 34K and 23K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Ukhrul and Chandel have the lowest number of COVID-19 positive people in Manipur. Together with the latter ones, Senapati’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your area has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
