The Mississippi state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the statistics, about 473K confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with about 9,2K deaths. Figures have risen and reached 2,3K cases in a day.

In Mississippi, the highest number of inhabitants tested positive can be seen in Harrison and Hinds. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 63 people per mi2 (24 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In next week, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in Mississippi may reach 501K cases. Besides, the rate of epidemics spread is informed to be 16K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
