The South Carolina state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the statistics, nearly 1,7M confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with nearly 19K fatal cases.
In South Carolina, the highest number of inhabitants affected by virus can be seen in Greenville and Richland. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 157 people per mi2 (60 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. By the way, the rate of infection is informed to be 34K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
