Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in India, the disease has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 171 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of COVID-19 positive people has risen up to 7,1K today, Adilabad still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Telangana.
Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 137K and 48K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Medak and Mahabubnagar have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Telangana. Together with the latter ones, Adilabad’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
