Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in India, the outbreak has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total count of coronavirus cases has reached 21K today, Bastar still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Raipur and Durg are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 158K and 97K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Kondagaon and Balrampur have the lowest count of COVID-19 positive people in Chhattisgarh. Together with the latter ones, Bastar’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
