Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in India, the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the overall count of COVID-19 cases has increased up to 7,6K today, Champawat still has the lowest count of cases and fatal cases in the state of Uttarakhand.
Dehradun and Haridwar are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 112K and 51K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Bageshwar and Rudraprayag have the lowest number of COVID-19 positive people in Uttarakhand. Together with the latter ones, Champawat’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
