Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total count of COVID-19 positive people has risen up to 3,8K today, Coosa County still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Alabama.
Jefferson County and Mobile County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 239K and 135K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Choctaw County and Greene County have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Alabama. Together with the latter ones, Coosa County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
