Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in India, the disease has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 285 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of coronavirus patients has reached 46K today, Dhule still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Maharashtra.
Pune and Mumbai are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 1,2M and 757K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hingoli and Gadchiroli have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Maharashtra. Together with the latter ones, Dhule’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
