The U.S. government and health care system are implementing various efforts to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 pandemic keeps all people on alert in Latimer and today, the invisible enemy still covers the territory of Jackson County. Its population density is considered to be 130 people per mi2 (52 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. As for the state, the Mississippi officials reported about 291K confirmed cases, an increase of 348 cases from yesterday.
DeSoto County and Hinds County counties are still the most-infected counties in the state.
These numbers don’t give the whole picture because many cases — including mild or asymptomatic infections — have not been diagnosed. Our key thing is to stay home and take care of ourselves. You should be aware of protection measures and the symptoms of coronavirus.
