Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in India, the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 444 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 8,7K today, Moga still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Punjab.
Ludhiana and Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 88K and 69K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Barnala and Tarn Taran have the lowest number of coronavirus patients in Punjab. Together with the latter ones, Moga’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your area has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
