The U.S. government and health care system are implementing various efforts to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 pandemic keeps all people on alert in Mountain Brook and today, the invisible enemy still spreads across Jefferson County. Its population density is considered to be 590 people per mi2 (230 people per km2) so the risk of being infected is below average. As for the state, the Alabama officials reported about 427K cases of COVID-19, an increase of 2,5K cases from yesterday.
Jefferson County and Mobile County counties are still the most-infected counties in the state.
These numbers don’t give the whole picture because many cases — including mild or asymptomatic infections — have not been diagnosed. Our key thing is to stay inside and take care of ourselves. You should be aware of protection measures and the symptoms of coronavirus.
