Even though the total number of coronavirus cases has reached 9 today, Orkney still has the lowest number of cases and deaths in the state of Scotland.
East Lothian and South Lanarkshire are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 3,2K and 2,8K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Shetland Islands and Dumfries and Galloway have the lowest count of COVID-19 cases in Scotland. Together with the latter ones, Orkney’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
