Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in United Kingdom, the outbreak has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.

Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has increased up to 54 today, Shetland Islands still has the lowest number of cases and deaths in the state of Scotland.

East Lothian and South Lanarkshire are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 3,2K and 2,8K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Orkney and Dumfries and Galloway have the lowest number of COVID-19 positive people in Scotland. Together with the latter ones, Shetland Islands’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
