Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in United Kingdom, the disease has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 54 today, Shetland Islands still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Scotland.
East Lothian and South Lanarkshire are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 3,2K and 2,8K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Orkney and Dumfries and Galloway have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Scotland. Together with the latter ones, Shetland Islands’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your county has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
