Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in United Kingdom, the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 54 today, Shetland Islands still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Scotland.
East Lothian and South Lanarkshire are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 3,2K and 2,8K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Orkney and Dumfries and Galloway have the lowest number of coronavirus patients in Scotland. Together with the latter ones, Shetland Islands’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
