Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in India, the outbreak has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 1003 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of coronavirus cases has increased up to 9,2K today, Buxar still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Bihar.
Patna and Gaya are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 147K and 34K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Sheohar and Kaimur have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Bihar. Together with the latter ones, Buxar’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
