The U.S. government and health care system are implementing various efforts to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 pandemic keeps all people on alert in Fairmount and today, the virus still spreads across Grant County. Its population density is informed to be 159 people per mi2 (61 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. As for the state, the Indiana officials reported about 319K confirmed cases, an increase of 6K cases from yesterday.

Marion County and Lake County counties are still the most-infected counties in the state.
