The U.S. government and health care system are implementing various efforts to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 keeps all people on alert in Harwich and today, the virus still spreads across Barnstable County. Its population density is considered to be 544 people per mi2 (210 people per km2) so the risk of being infected is below average.
Middlesex County and Suffolk County counties are still the most-affected counties in the state.
