Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 212 people per mi2 (82 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 13 today, Nantucket County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Massachusetts.

Middlesex County and Suffolk County are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 437K and 268K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Dukes County and Franklin County have the lowest count of coronavirus cases in Massachusetts.
