Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in India, the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 467 people per km2 so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of coronavirus patients has risen up to 11K today, Kaithal still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Haryana.
Gurgaon and Faridabad are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 181K and 100K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Mewat and Palwal have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Haryana. Together with the latter ones, Kaithal’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
