Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in India, the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total number of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 20K today, Rayagada still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Odisha.
Khordha and Cuttack are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 175K and 95K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Deogarh and Gajapati have the lowest number of coronavirus cases in Odisha. Together with the latter ones, Rayagada’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
