Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the disease has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 23 people per mi2 (8 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of confirmed cases has increased up to 170 today, Robertson County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Kentucky.
Jefferson County and Fayette County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 63K and 29K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hickman County and Menifee County have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Kentucky. Together with the latter ones, Robertson County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
