COVID-19 claimed the lives of about 805K Americans in the U.S. since its beginning and every city, including San Francisco, fights against this virus. The situation in the California state is better than in Massachusetts or Pennsylvania, but it still remains difficult. The population density of the city is 18,838 people per mi2 (7,272 people per km2), which means the risk of infection is below average.

In the last months, there was a significant increase in the number of people tested positive for COVID-19, as of today, 57K confirmed cases have been announced in San Francisco and in next week, their number will rise to 57K cases. Despite the below-average rate of infection that is 6,5K per 100,000 people, the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

One third of the world’s COVID-19 cases are reported from the U.S. alone, so take care of yourself and stay home. You should be aware of protection measures and the symptoms of coronavirus.
