Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the outbreak has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has increased up to 86 today, Yakutat still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Alaska.

Anchorage and Matanuska-Susitna are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 31K and 12K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Haines and Denali have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Alaska. Together with the latter ones, Yakutat’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
