The Maryland state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the official information, nearly 1,3M confirmed cases have been reported as of today, and nearly 16K fatal cases.

In Maryland, the highest number of inhabitants affected by virus can be seen in Montgomery and Prince George's. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 619 people per mi2 (238 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. Still, the rate of infection is informed to be 21K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
