The population density in the county is 100 people per mi2 (39 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total count of confirmed cases has reached 7,3K today, Caroline County still has the lowest count of cases and deaths in the state of Maryland.

Montgomery County and Prince George's County are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 246K and 229K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Kent County and Somerset County have the lowest count of coronavirus cases in Maryland. Together with the latter ones, Caroline County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
