Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 100 people per mi2 (39 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 6,3K today, Caroline County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Maryland.

Montgomery County and Prince George's County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 192K and 183K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Kent County and Somerset County have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Maryland. Together with the latter ones, Caroline County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
