On 30 January, India reported its first case of COVID-19 in Kerala. Maharashtra is now the worst-hit state with the most number of confirmed coronavirus cases - 2006354. In this state, the death toll due to the highly contagious disease has reached 50740 since the pandemic’s outbreak as 50740 deaths got reported since yesterday.

Tamil Nadu is one of the states with the highest rates, as of today, it is informed to have 834K positive cases, 817K people have recovered. It is considered that in a week the overall number of coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu will reach 839K cases.

The statistics also show the rate of infection per 100,000 people - it’s 1,2K that is quite high. Even if you think that the figures are not so seriously high, do not forget about protective measures and be aware of the coronavirus symptoms.
