The West Virginia state is fighting against the coronavirus disease along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the stats, about 131K confirmed cases have been informed as of today, along with about 2,3K deaths. Figures have risen and reached 421 coronavirus cases in a day.

In West Virginia, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Kanawha and Berkeley. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 77 people per mi2 (29 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In next week, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in West Virginia may rise to 135K cases. Still, the infection rate is informed to be 7,3K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
