The West Virginia state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the official information, about 46K confirmed cases have been informed as of today, along with about 718 fatal cases. Figures have risen and reached 866 COVID-19 cases in a day.

In West Virginia, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Kanawha and Monongalia. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 77 people per mi2 (29 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In next week, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in West Virginia will rise to 49K cases. Besides, the rate of infection is informed to be 2,5K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
