COVID-19 has claimed tens of thousands of American lives in the U.S. COVID-19 pandemic keeps all people on alert in Crossnore and today, the virus still spreads across Avery County. Its population density is considered to be 190 people per mi2 (72 people per km2) so the risk of being infected is below average. As for the state, the North Carolina officials noted about 1M confirmed cases, an increase of 1,8K cases from yesterday.

Mecklenburg County and Wake County counties are still the most-infected counties in the state.
