The U.S. government and health care system are implementing various efforts to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2. Coronavirus keeps all people on alert in Española and today, the invisible enemy still covers the territory of Rio Arriba County. Its population density is considered to be 6 people per mi2 (2 people per km2) so the risk of being infected is below average. As for the state, the New Mexico officials announced about 313K cases of COVID-19, an increase of 1K cases from yesterday.

Bernalillo County and Doña Ana County counties are still the most-affected counties in the state.

These numbers don’t give the whole picture because many cases — including mild or asymptomatic infections — have not been diagnosed. Our key thing is to stay inside and take care of ourselves. You should be aware of protection measures and the symptoms of coronavirus.
