The New Mexico state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the stats, about 28K COVID-19 positive cases have been reported as of today, and about 859 deaths. Figures have increased by 237 COVID-19 cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Bernalillo and McKinley. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. A week later, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in New Mexico may rise to 29K cases. By the way, the rate of infection is informed to be 1,3K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
