The New Mexico state is fighting against the coronavirus disease along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the statistics, nearly 471K COVID-19 positive cases have been reported as of today, and nearly 6,4K fatal cases. Figures have increased by 5,3K coronavirus cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Bernalillo and Doña Ana. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In next week, the overall number of confirmed cases in New Mexico may reach 510K cases. By the way, the rate of infection is informed to be 22K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
