The New Mexico state is fighting against coronavirus along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the statistics, nearly 251K confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with nearly 4,8K deaths. Figures have increased by 662 COVID-19 cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Bernalillo and Doña Ana. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. A week later, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in New Mexico may rise to 260K cases. Besides, the infection rate is informed to be 12K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
