The New Mexico state is fighting against COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the stats, nearly 13K COVID-19 positive cases have been reported as of today, and nearly 513 deaths. Figures have increased by 287 cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of people affected by virus can be seen in McKinley and San Juan. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In a week, the general number of COVID-19 positive people in New Mexico will rise to 15K cases. By the way, the infection rate is informed to be 623 per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
