The New Mexico state is facing coronavirus along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the official information, about 200K COVID-19 positive cases have been informed as of today, along with about 4,1K fatal cases. Figures have increased by 200 cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of people affected by virus can be seen in Bernalillo and Doña Ana. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. A week later, the general number of COVID-19 positive people in New Mexico may rise to 202K cases. By the way, the infection rate is informed to be 9,5K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
