The New Mexico state is facing COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the statistics, nearly 86K confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with nearly 1,4K fatal cases. Figures have risen and reached 2,1K COVID-19 cases in a day.

In New Mexico, the highest number of inhabitants tested positive can be seen in Bernalillo and Doña Ana. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In next week, the general number of coronavirus patients in New Mexico may reach 116K cases. Still, the rate of infection is informed to be 4K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
