The U.S. has the most confirmed cases of the new virus in the world. COVID-19 pandemic keeps all people on alert in Peñasco and today, the invisible enemy still spreads across Taos County. Its population density is considered to be 15 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) so the risk of being infected is below average. Bernalillo County and McKinley County counties are still the most-infected counties in the state.

These figures don’t give the whole picture because many cases — including mild or asymptomatic infections — have not been diagnosed. Our aim is to stay home and take care of ourselves. You should not forget about protection measures and the symptoms of coronavirus.
