Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 53 people per mi2 (20 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total count of COVID-19 positive people has increased up to 331 today, Lamoille County still has the lowest number of cases and deaths in the state of Vermont.

Chittenden County and Washington County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 3,8K and 1,1K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Grand Isle County and Essex County have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Vermont. Together with the latter ones, Lamoille County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
