Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 16 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of confirmed cases has reached 789 today, Osceola County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Iowa.

Polk County and Linn County are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 58K and 21K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Adams County and Audubon County have the lowest number of coronavirus cases in Iowa. Together with the latter ones, Osceola County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
