The New Jersey state is facing COVID-19 along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the official data, about 1M confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with about 27K deaths. Figures have increased by 1,2K cases in a day.

In New Jersey, the highest number of the population affected by virus can be seen in Bergen and Essex. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 1,210 people per mi2 (467 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. A week later, the overall number of COVID-19 cases in New Jersey may rise to 1,1M cases. Besides, the infection rate is informed to be 12K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
