About this data

Data sources: Johns Hopkins University CSSE reports; state and national government health departments, and local media reports.

Estimated for the end of the day - assumptions about the number of infected people for the end of the current day.

The cities and surrounding counties of Wales with the highest number of COVID-19 cases

Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in United Kingdom, the disease has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.

Even though the total number of coronavirus patients has increased up to 1 today, Flintshire still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Wales.

Powys and Newport are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 354 and 38 patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Ceredigion and Gwynedd have the lowest count of coronavirus cases in Wales. Together with the latter ones, Flintshire’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
