Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in United Kingdom, the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the overall count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 1 today, Vale of Glamorgan still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Wales.
Powys and Newport are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 354 and 38 patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Ceredigion and Gwynedd have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Wales. Together with the latter ones, Vale of Glamorgan’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
