The cities and surrounding counties of Wales with the highest number of COVID-19 cases

Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in United Kingdom, the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.

Even though the overall number of coronavirus patients has increased up to 1 today, Gwynedd still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Wales.

Powys and Newport are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 354 and 38 patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Ceredigion and Conwy have the lowest count of COVID-19 cases in Wales. Together with the latter ones, Gwynedd’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
