Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 2 people per mi2 (1 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has risen up to 322 today, Ness County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Kansas.
Sedgwick County and Johnson County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 48K and 48K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Greeley County and Lane County have the lowest number of COVID-19 positive people in Kansas. Together with the latter ones, Ness County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
