Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 10 people per mi2 (4 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has risen up to 840 today, Sullivan County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Missouri.

St. Louis County and Jackson County are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 96K and 37K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Worth County and Putnam County have the lowest number of coronavirus cases in Missouri. Together with the latter ones, Sullivan County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
