Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 4 people per mi2 (1 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of coronavirus patients has risen up to 197 today, Bent County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Colorado.

Denver County and Adams County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 37K and 30K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hinsdale County and San Juan County have the lowest count of COVID-19 positive people in Colorado. Together with the latter ones, Bent County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
