Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in the U.S., the outbreak has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 1 people per mi2 (0 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has increased up to 409 today, Dolores County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Colorado.

El Paso County and Denver County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 230K and 217K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hinsdale County and Jackson County have the lowest count of COVID-19 cases in Colorado. Together with the latter ones, Dolores County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
