Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 4 people per mi2 (1 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total count of confirmed cases has increased up to 183 today, Sedgwick County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Colorado.

Denver County and El Paso County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 55K and 47K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Hinsdale County and San Juan County have the lowest number of COVID-19 positive people in Colorado. Together with the latter ones, Sedgwick County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
