Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in India, the outbreak has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total count of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 29K today, Cooch Behar still has the lowest count of cases and fatal cases in the state of West Bengal.
North 24 Parganas and Kolkata are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 329K and 323K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Alipurduar and Dakshin Dinajpur have the lowest count of confirmed cases in West Bengal. Together with the latter ones, Cooch Behar’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
