Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in India, the disease has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the overall count of confirmed cases has reached 29K today, Cooch Behar still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of West Bengal.
North 24 Parganas and Kolkata are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 329K and 323K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Alipurduar and Dakshin Dinajpur have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in West Bengal. Together with the latter ones, Cooch Behar’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
