Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in India, the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
Even though the overall count of coronavirus cases has risen up to 20K today, Uttar Dinajpur still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of West Bengal.
North 24 Parganas and Kolkata are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 329K and 323K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Alipurduar and Dakshin Dinajpur have the lowest count of confirmed cases in West Bengal. Together with the latter ones, Uttar Dinajpur’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
