Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in India, the infection has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.
Even though the total number of COVID-19 cases has increased up to 20K today, Uttar Dinajpur still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of West Bengal.
North 24 Parganas and Kolkata are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 329K and 323K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Alipurduar and Dakshin Dinajpur have the lowest number of coronavirus cases in West Bengal. Together with the latter ones, Uttar Dinajpur’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
